FAQ
How do I Book?

How long until I get my photos bacK?
For general sessions, please allow 7-14 days for getting your photos back. For weddings and events turn-around time is outlined in contracts.
Payment
Session fees can be paid in various ways such as check, PayPal, a payment schedule, etc.
Payment in full, unless discussed otherwise is due at the completion of the session.
Processing and Reotouching
All packages include post-editing on images.
I do not do album/photo limits on sessions.
All your images are color-corrected and edited before they are posted to your gallery. Any specific or extensive retouching may be done by request.
Do you have a studio?
Unfortunately, I do not have a studio at this time. If you would like studio work we can look into renting a space for your session.
Do you travel?
Yes, travel is an option. A travel fee will be assessed at the time of booking depending on the location.
Travel via driving is calculated by the current IRS mileage rate which is $0.625 x miles to and from session.
Cancellation Policy
For portrait sessions, client forfeits their session retainer paid to book the session. As previously stated, the fee can be credited towards a future session if the client reschedules the appointment by calling 72 hours prior to the date of session and re-booking at an agreeable date and time.
If Taris Smith Photography cannot perform this Contract due to fire or other casualty, strike, act of God, or other cause beyond the control of the parties, or due to Photographer’s illness or emergency, then the Photographer shall return the retainer fee to the Client but shall have no further liability with respect to the Contract. This limitation on liability shall also apply in the event that photographic materials are damaged in processing, lost through camera or other media malfunction, lost in the mail, or otherwise lost or damaged without fault on the part of the Photographer.
Tardiness Policy
Please plan enough time to get to your session. We respect every single client's time and put an incredible amount of effort into scheduling and planning a session, so please respect ours. If you have a 60 minute session scheduled and you are 20 minutes late, you will then have a 40 minute session. If you are more than 30 minutes late without calling, you will forfeit your booking fee and we will have the right to cancel the session.
We of course understand unforeseen circumstances such as illness or accidents. If we are late, we will communicate that with you and your session time will not be affected.
